Website - Lance Greenalgh (unable to attend)

Competition organiser needed. Twill offered but was keen that this would take teams outside Cumbria as this is what he would like to do. Paddy has also offered but needs to know more about what the job entails.

Finances

Jonathan gave an update. Club has around £6000 but most of this is committed for pool fees and other expenses. There are about 40 members on the books. At present club is covering costs, the pool is attracting more than predicted for the summer months. Advertising will be needed if membership / attendance falls.

Coaches

Twill has copies of most CRB / DRB but needs any updates and outstanding CRB codes from coaches passing on to him.

Website

Lance has set up a good website to start the club up. Lance can load stuff on and committee members can go to “manage this group” to send emails, but we are close to the limit for the style of website we have. Discussion about where we go next and how best to communicate especially with younger members. Chris offered to create a more user friendly/facebook style website.

Competition

Liverpool comp deadline missed.
Hull competition (6-7th July) needs qualified referees, we haven’t got, may be allowed without this time
Cumbria League to get going, plenty of interest
Penrith competition (29th June 5.30-9.30pm)
Twill to organise with plan from Tim and teams from Sue. Club to underwrite event to make sure it happens to launch own event. Each team to pay £50 towards event.

Social

Ideas discussed and agreed that a simple programme each quarter would keep us all amused.

Tactics pub night in winter
Tiger Boat competition in spring ( to defend our 2013 title)
Lake BBQ in summer
AGM in October
Pub/Agricultural for Christmas

Equipment

Boat storage discussed. New store is being planned by pool but could take a while. Cages are being built on wheels for easy storage of equipment. New paddles have arrived but will stay with Tim until secure storage sorted at pool.

Publicity

Need press article with new kit & banner for new goals. Will organise when new boats arrive.
