How your session fees are used
Behind every session
What your fees support
Pool and lake sessions
Year-round club paddling, including lake sessions in the monthly plan.
Shared club kit
Maintenance and boat repairs keep equipment ready for members.
People who lead sessions
Training helps members gain the skills to run club sessions.
Future equipment
Replacing worn-out kit keeps the club ready for the next season.
Your session fees help us run club sessions and look after the equipment we share. Here is how they support paddling at Penrith Canoe Club.
Pool hire, spread across the year
Pool hire is one of the costs your fees cover. To keep monthly costs manageable, we spread the cost across the year rather than collecting it only during the pool season.
The monthly session plan also includes our lake sessions at no extra cost. Your monthly payments contribute to a full year of club sessions, not just the weeks spent in the pool.
Maintaining our club kit
Fees help cover the maintenance of shared club equipment, including boat repairs. Keeping our kit in good condition helps us continue to provide equipment for members to use.
Training people to run sessions
We also use funds to support course fees so that club members can develop the skills and qualifications needed to run sessions.
Training support is considered under our club grants policy. Read the policy for details of how to request support and the conditions that apply.
Replacing equipment
Equipment eventually wears out. Your fees also help fund replacement kit so the club can continue to offer sessions and shared equipment.
Boats, paddles, buoyancy aids and other kit are a significant investment. Our borrowing club equipment policy includes guide repair and replacement costs, as well as members’ responsibilities when borrowing kit.
Choose the session option that suits you
You can choose the monthly session plan or pay as you go. Annual club membership is separate from session fees.
The membership form shows the current prices and explains the reduced amount for members joining partway through the year. You will review your household total before setting up Direct Debit.
If you have a question about fees or what is included, contact the club.
