When is a corner throw awarded?

Ball and possession · Rule 10.5.3

When a team last touches a ball that goes out over its own goal line, the opponents take a corner throw. The thrower positions their kayak in the corner of the playing area.

How it works

When a team last touches a ball that goes out over its own goal line, the opponents take a corner throw. The thrower positions their kayak in the corner of the playing area. The corner throw is a free throw, so a direct goal is not allowed.

In a game

A defender deflects an attacker's shot across their own goal line.

Remember

The corner throw is a free throw, so a direct goal is not allowed.
